Surprise!

Last Saturday night, Jay and close friends surprised me with a little early 30th birthday get together at Meehan's in Sandy Springs! I was sick all day with a stomach bug and Jay had to drag me out of bed-I am so happy I went. I had the best time despite my tummy and I know it is hard for everyone to get sitters and plan a night out! Thanks to world's greatest husband for organzing and working hard on this and to Erin H.& her sister Paige (who is the GM at Meehan's). They even had a special drink menu made just for our party! Thanks again to Jay and all my close friends for celebrating, it means a lot to me (I won't technically be 30t till the 26th so I do have a few more days left in my 20's!) You guys are the best!

Annalee-6 months!

Our baby Annalee is 6 months old! She goes to the doctor this Thursday for her 6 month checkup and first flu shot (Mary Katherine is going for her 2 year checkup at the same time). Annalee is such a laid back, low-maintenance baby who just wants to be included and she is content! She loves Mary Katherine and stares at her and laughs with her. She wants all of Mary Katherine's big girl toys and shows no interest in baby toys-her favorite is the Fisher Price camper (thanks Allison and Madden!). Of course everything goes in her mouth! Annalee is eating solids like a champ and sucking down bottles-she likes to eat like her sister:) We love our LeeLee (new nickname) so much!!!!

Happy 2nd Birthday Mary Katherine!

Wow..so behind in posting! Like everyone else, where has October gone??? MK had a fun but extremely exhausting birthday celebration-a visit from Nashville relatives, a birthday dinner at Aspen's and ice cream at Bruster's (where MK likes to jam out to her favorite high school band-see pictures), another birthday dinner and cake at my parents' house, a party with all her little friends (and the Bubbleman!) and cookies at school to celebrate. Next year we have decided to keep it low key and just enjoy more of the simple things in life.

Like all parents, I cannot believe how quickly Mary Katherine is growing up and changing-she is talking up a storm and so strong-willed. We've come to our first battle-clothes! She already wants to pick them out-mostly tell us what she dosen't want to wear (no jeans for one!)! MK is so loving and affectionate. She loves everyone in her family and extended family (especially her sister). For her birthday we gave her one gift-a shutterfly book with a picture of all of her relatives so that she can look at them every night and talk about them. It is so amazing how she even knows the names of my aunts, uncles and cousins who she has only met a couple of times but loves just the same:)

Happy Birthday "C"!

Mary Katherine calls my mom "C" (I guess short for Cindy) which makes her happy since she hates "Granny" or "Grandma!" We celebrated C's birthday dinner on Sept 29th at our house (after she had a lunch outing and gifts with her friends). Here are some pics of the girls with their C.
ps-dosen't C look great for 61!?! also, we have been bad about taking pictures the last couple of months-it seems like all our posts are about birthday parties!
