Kerrie's Baby Shower

On Saturday Laura and I threw a shower for Kerrie at my house-her baby boy is due on October 29th...no name yet but they have some ideas! We had a great turn out of about 20 good friends and had lots of fun. Kerrie received tons of nice things for baby...lots of clothes and books and useful items. Erin H. made her the cutest burp cloths (including a red one for game day!) Erin S. brought Makenzie to play with Mary Katherine...they loved the tissue papers and ribbons. Here are some pics:

Surprise!

Yesterday was a big day....First, Mary Katherine took her first steps-5 in a row! I thought she was about to start running but then she plopped down on the floor! Second, we headed to the doctor for our 8 week appointment..yes, there is going to be another baby come April 20th! I know it is early, but word has slipped and I have been so sick and totally missing in action-so now I have an explantation:) 2 frequently asked questions (my doctor and nurse included):1) Was this planned? Yes! 2) Do you realize the kids will be only 19 months apart? Yes!
I know we are crazy! Wish us well on this journey! I will be coming out of hiding this Friday for my trunk show and Saturday for Kerrie's baby shower. Can't wait to see everyone:)

Nashville Trip

We have been home for a week, but a week ago I spent a week in Nashville visiting Jay's family. Mary Katherine and I went up on Sunday the 17th, and Jay came up Wednesday night and we came back on Sunday the 24th. We got to spend a lot of time with Jay's sister Allison and her two year-old Caleb and new baby Madison (who is about 6 weeks). Madison is so easygoing and sleeps most of the time. Caleb was so sweet too-although he wasn't so sure about the two babies that were invading his space and stealing all of the attention! To combat this, I gave him treats or toys everyday and lots of attention. He did really well for being so young. We also spent time with Jay's cousin Travis and his wife Katherine and their little boy Hill, who is about 4 months younger than Mary Katherine. Jay's grandmother Ouida turned 92 while we were there and we went to see her in the nursing home. She was very alert and happy to see the babies. I think she was even more happy that we brought her brownies and cake. She was eating Reese's when we got there! We also were able to see Jay's other grandmother-Nannie, Aunt Jenna, Uncle Robbie, Cousin Abby, Aunt Mary, Uncle Terry, Cousin Randy and his wife Joy....I think that covers Jay's whole extended family!

Erin's Shower

I feel like it has been forever since I posted...right before we went to Nashville I went to a "pink" shower for Baby Hannah. Erin received lots of nice things and it was great to see everyone. Here are some pics (check out the adorable UGA dress that Christy made):

Welcome Baby Allie!

Jay's cousin Keely had her baby, Alexandra (Allie), last week on Thursday, August 7th. She weighed 7.5 lbs and was 18 inches long. We just received some pictures and she is absolutely beautiful. We hope to make it to Miami to see her eventually! Here is a shot of baby Allie and daddy Devin:

Birthday Party

Here are some adorable pictures from last Sunday at our friend Madden Rivenbark's 1st birthday party. She was so adorable! We had a great time and loved watching Mary Katherine interact with our friends' kids.

Welcome Baby John Miller!

Our good friends Justin and Kristal Tate (and big sister Morgan) welcomed little John Miller St. Claire Tate on Friday, August 1st at 4:01 pm. He weighed 8 lbs. 11 oz. was 21 inches long! I was lucky enough to go see him on Saturday and get some pictures! He is so precious! We can't wait for Mary Katherine and him to become buddies.
