Annalee's 1st Birthday Party!
Last Saturday before Easter we had Annalee's 1st Birthday Party with all our friends (a few weeks early!). I thought it would be chaos with sixty people, but it turned out to be a hit. We utilized the flat backyard and had a bounce house for the kids and then had an Easter egg hunt on the side yard. Joe & Heather Herrig catered the party with awesome food-brats, burgers, hotdogs, grilled chicken, tater tot bar, fruit, veggies & hummus and deviled eggs. The only thing I had to make were the cupcakes and a smash cake for Annalee, which were so much fun with the new decorating kit I bought. Annalee was so tired and had to take a nap in the middle of her party...she also hated the cake and didn't hunt any Easter eggs (probably b/c she is not walking). She did however enjoy a little time in the bounce house! Instead of presents we asked everyone to bring diapers, new socks or new underwear for the Foster Care Support in Roswell. It was a huge success! Right now we are "recovering" from spring break at Tops'l and getting ready for Jay's family to come in town for Annalee's real birthday and baptism this weekend.

Earlier this month....
Earlier this month we were having a blast...Mimi came in town and we bought our annual zoo pass and went to the zoo! We love the pass-I can bring 2 adults and 4 kids free everyone I go, get a discount on food and drinks and almost all of it is tax-deductible! We also have been enjoying some fun festivities too, most recently Wesley's 4th birthday at Lifetime Fitness-it was perfect-all the things kids like-a bounce house, games, pizza, cake and their own personalized koozies with gatorade(MK loves her "yellow drink").
This morning was supposed to be Annalee's 1 year and MK's 2 year (a bit late) pictures at portrait innovations, but we cancelled since the girls are sick and snotty again. MK has broochitis and an ear infection and is back on the nebulizer, and Annalee has croupe (we went to Scottish Rite again Thursday night because we thought she had RSV again and couldn't breathe). Poor Annalee just got over an ear infection.
To top it off poor Jay was in Nashville saying goodbye to his dear grandmother Ouida and drove home in the middle of the night Thursday to be with us and is going back tomorrow for the visitation and the funeral, where he is a ballbearer. Ouida was 93 and an amazing woman, she graduated from Vanderbilt Nursing School where she worked as a nurse for over 40 years. We will miss her so much.
We are trying to rest the girls and get them well for a busy week of egg hunt, school pictures, Annalee's 1st birthday party, Easter and Spring Break at the beach. I hope we will have lots of pictures to share.

Ready for Spring!
Brr.......snow again today??? We are ready for March and Spring! February was a tough month in the Tucker household. I am sure everyone already knows about Annalee's trip to the ER in the ambulance (along with Mary Katherine's RSV) and the loss of our dog Bentley. Despite the tough times, we had some great moments-Valentine's Day, a trip to the GA Aquarium, birthday parties and fun in the snow!
We have soooo much to look forward to in the next couple of months so I hope to post lots on the blog. Annalee will be turning 1 soon, there are Easter Egg hunts, Spring Break at Tops'l, a visit from Mimi, a possible visit from cousins Caleb & Madison, Spring tennis, birthdays, weddings and births! We also have booked a five day trip to Walt Disney World for September! Whoo hoo!
Today was Annalee's first day off of the nebulizer (MK was off last week) and we are so thankful to be healthy again and happy as always. We also remember my brother John today (he would have been 26 years old today) and Jay's grandfather who passed away on this day five years ago.

9 Months!
Baby Annalee is already 9 months old. When Mary Katherine was 9 months old, I became pregnant with Annalee! Sorry, but I am not pregnant this time around, maybe in a year to two:) The girls are keeping me sooo busy:) Annalee's checkup went very well, she is obviously different looking and acting from MK-very laid back and not quite as chunky monkey. One thing they have in common-they both LOVE to eat! Annalee has almost completely "weened" herself off of jarred baby foods! She dosen't even eat most Gerber graduate snacks anymore. She wants real food! Here are her 9 month stats: 19 lbs. 10 oz (50-75th percentile), 28 inches tall (50-75th percentile) and her head circumference is the 95th percenticle (I forget the measurement). Big head just like me-means a big brain, right? :)
