No Thanksgiving Dinner Here!
After cooking all day Wednesday for the big feast at my parents' house, I was really looking forward to Thanksgiving and seeing our family friends as well. I felt really bad when I went to bed Wednesday night but thought if I go to sleep it will go away. Not the case! Both Jay and I woke I up around 1 am very sick. He was better by four, but I was still sick at 8 am, I couldn't even keep water down. So I called in my doctor's office, and they said to go to the ER. So my dad came and got Mary Katherine and we headed to Northside, where they put me in Labor and Delivery since I am 20 weeks. Well, the baby was perfectly fine, but I was drained and my blood pressure was 92/50. So I just got several bags of IV fluid and a phenegren (sp?) shot and slept . Jay didn't want to be a patient so he slept in the uncomfortable chair, but he really could have used some fluids too! We got to come home around 7 at night. One of my doctors came by to see me at the hospital while she was on rounds and she said we had the rotavirus! No wonder MK was fine, babies get the vaccination for that! Thank goodness! I am just thankful that it is over and we are all ok. I heard Mary Katherine had a fun thanksgiving with my family and their friends, I missed seeing her eat her first feast. Now my mom has caught the rotavirus from us and is very sick so just pray she gets better and no one else gets it! We are laying low this weekend-I have lots of sewing projects that need completed. Hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Oh Katie, That is horrible! I am so sorry you missed MK's first Thanksgiving but at least she was with family. I have heard that rotavirus is horrible! Glad to know you guys are okay and are starting to feel better. Take it easy and get plenty of rest!
Oh Katie, I am so sorry to hear you were sick and spent Thanksgiving in the hospital....what a bummer! But I am so glad it was just the rotavirus and you and the baby & Jay are okay.
Try and get some rest, tomorrow will be a good day to stay home, relax and watch some foothabll :)
