Nashville Christmas

Tuesday evening we returned home safe and sound from Nashville. We got to spend time with all Jay's family-parents, sister, cousins, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and grandmothers. On Monday we visited Jay's grandmother Ouida in the nursing home and gave her a fleecy sweatsuit and a godiva bar!-she is 92 and still doing great! She talks a lot, loves chocolate and enjoys visiting with MK. On Saturday we had our pictures made at Portrait Innovations with Jay's sister and her husband and kids. They turned out awesome!!! I will post some when I get the disk. We got a really great one of everyone, one of the kids and one of us for our Christmas cards (which will be going out tomorrow). We also had some yummy meals-we went to our favorite Thai place in Nashville called Jasmine with Jay's cousin Travis and his wife Katherine. It is by far the best Thai food we have had. We also did our Christmas exchanging and enjoyed many nights of "Scattergories" and "Would You Rather..." with Jay's parents. I almost forgot-we got to see Jay's first cousin, baby Nathan Thompson Robeson, who was born in November, he is about a month old and just an adorable little peanut. The weather was very cold and wet but we made it back just fine-and were surprised to find it is in the upper sixties here!Katherine, Hill, MK & I

Katie,
I am so glad you guys had a safe trip to Nashville and you got to visit all of Jay's family. MK just gets cuter and cuter everyday. Her hair has really grown, she is just precious! Can't wait to see the portrait innovation pictures. Glad your experience there was better then mine with Ansley throwing a fit :)

Well, the pics turned out amazing but MK was upset between takes. They did a good job tickling her with the feather. Our Christmas card is a portrait innovations pic. The place was a zoo and some other little boy had a balloon and was teasing MK and she was going nuts screaming "ba-boon!" I was getting ready to pop it:) She also hates pictures and flashes! (and santa!)

It looks like you had a wonderful trip despite having to leave a couple of days later. I am sure it was worth it. You need to stay healthy :)

Love MK's Christmas dress and I can't believe how darn cute she is getting. Her personality is really shining! Can't wait to see your Christmas Card!
